Description: McKinley's Cabin is our authentic, hand hewn, 1840's era log cabin that is located on Carnifex Ferry Road, the dead end road that leads into Carnifex Ferry Battlefield State Park. This cozy cabin has a wood burning fireplace, tv, vcr/dvd and cd player in the living area and a complete "kitchenette" (apt. sized appliances) including a microwave. There is a spiral staircase leading to the upstairs bedroom where there is an antique brass bed. The hot tub is located on a covered porch on the back of the cabin and there is a grill, hammock and fire ring in the yard. Linens, towels and a generous portion of fire wood are all provided. Of course it's located adjacent to CARNIFEX FERRY BATTLEFIELD STATE PARK where there are miles of trails to hike and 3 overlooks of the GAULEY RIVER GORGE AND NATIONAL RECREATION AREA. It's also a 2 min. drive from the beach at Summersville Lake and approximately 20 minutes from the NEW RIVER GORGE BRIDGE AND NATIONAL RIVER. There are several DANDY DAY TRIPS within 30/45 minutes.

Other: All rates are based on 4 adults and a $15.00 per adult, per night charge applies over 4 unless otherwise stated. We'll "otherwise state" here that there is no additional charge for extra adults in Major Harding's Abode or The Gauly Get-Away.

Children aged 16 and under are free.

Posted rates do not include 12% tax.
