Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping like a Class V rapid on the Gauley River or the Lower New River. If you don't need (or want) your adrenaline pumped but want a completely different perspective of our beautiful mountains and scenery, there's nothing quite like a trip down the upper New River. With plenty of quiet pools and small class, I and II rapids, you'll have time to enjoy the fresh mountain air and see sights that are otherwise inaccessible, to humans that is! Abundant wildlife; dramatic cliffs and mountains; clean, refreshing water; and thick, dense forests make for an enjoyable day whether it's a wild ride for the adrenaline junkie or a relaxing float trip for the kids and grandma and grandpa.
There are dozens of whitewater rafting outfitters in our area and with good reason. This part of WV offers the best whitewater in the eastern United States. Navigating the rivers, however, can be easier than navigating the plethora of options when it comes to picking the appropriate outfitter for the trip you want. While we don't own or operate a whitewater outfitter, we are life-long residents with a long history of involvement in the travel and tourism industry and can help you navigate the outfitter gauntlet so that you come up with the perfect outfitter for your perfect whitewater rafting trip.
